Hi dear one, there are so many things I will like to share with you about business.
Business? Yes, you heard me right.
You will not ignore the fact that you live in a world where you trade something you have for something you need.
You trade your time in exchange for knowledge
You trade your presence on exchange for friendship
You sometimes even trade your worth in exchange to belong in a particular class of people.
Everybody is a business owner, it is just what type of business you are into.
There is the known business for financial profit and there is the hidden business that involves a profit or loss that may sometimes involve money or not.
This letter is centered on the one for money (let me know if you want me to tell you more about the other type of business)
There are fundamental steps to take while building a brand or starting a business. I will be sharing with you one today and which is the most important one, like ‘super duper' important.
Before you start any trade always ask yourself this question below;
📌What problem(s) am I solving?
You may have seen this times without number but the world is filled with problems and it needs you solving one. For me, I am solving a problem by saving students from having poor grades, improving the better version of my readers to the best and helping ‘baby’ businesses to get a footing in the business world.
Who says you can't have more than one problem to solve?😌
Let me share you a common story of all business owners and I happen to participate in this shameful story 😅
The first few months when I decided to create a blog and just write, I told my friends about it and they were delighted to learn that I had finally made up my mind to share my inspiring writings to the world using the internet. When I started, I had a good number of responses and support but as the weeks went by, they all started to drop and I became confused. I wondered why most of my readers didn't care to view my posts anymore or even liked or commented on it. Then I realized that though they loved me, I was not meeting their needs. I was not giving them reasons to come back to my blog site. So, I was back to square one and worse still, I added more problems to myself by having people who would never look up my blog anymore.
What did your favorite writer do?
I began my research for days, into weeks and then months and discovered that I needed to have a niche. I needed to have atleast one problem I can confidently solve. Then, I sat down and drafted out what I will be doing to help my viewers who became happy readers and later amazing clients and it has been one beautiful journey as we ended up being glad about our mutual investment. The truth is that I am just getting started because there is more from where that jar of honey came from.
So, if you are just like me many months ago, cling to this fundamental step. Whether it’s shoes you sell, or coaching a particular class of people in the society or even doing a sleeping class. This step should not be ignored.
